Would like everybodies 2 cents worth. I am new to Rifle reloading game (have been reloading pistol for to many years) and just got a old 22 hornet (77/22H) and was wondering due to the thin brass (necks) would it be benificial ( on the brass) to use the Lee factory Crimp die. Tom

There is no need to crimp the hornet at all. There is not nearly enough recoil to cause the bullets to pull out of the case, and the rotary magazine keeps the cartridges from contacting the front of the mag. The less you work the brass, the better.

I have been shooting for 50 years and reloading since 1970.

I have a Ruger 77/22-Hornet and have a load that shoots dime size.
I do not crimp any rifle case unless it is to be fired from a TUBULAR
MAGAZINE. To my knowledge, Hornets do not have tubular magazines.
