700X IS BACK!

As of this moment, 1-21-26, Hodgdon shows as available on their website only 700X for the near give away price of $45/lb in 4 pound bottles plus haz, plus ship, plus tax, plus plus plus.

They also show this as USA made product.

This is the first flake powder I've seen for sale in a very long time.

I also note that Winchester and Remington 209's are available, the price of Claybuster wads is holding steady, and marvel of marvels lead is back down to $45 a bag in 10 bag lots from my semi-local supplier.

Maybe there's hope. I'm not reading too much into this, but if somebody is making flake powder in the USA, maybe Alliant could re-enter the field unless their business is unrecoverable.

I don't even know who owns that outfit now, I kind of lost track.

the exicting thing about it being back is....the market seems to have shifted away from the ukraine war need for powders....and back to american people.
i think usa must have stopped supplying ammo to the blood bath over there.

I don't load shotgun shells and there's 5635 different powders that work for .38 Special and .45 AUTO so I am out.

I use 700X in all my handgun and pistol cal rifle loads for SASS and plinking. I have been very happy with it over the years. Just wish I could still get it at a fair price.
