Is it just that we are bored this time of year? Can somebody please start a 9MM is better than 45 ACP thread? I mean it's been awhile.....I want to re-read all the Captain Obvious posts.......

You are repeating an internet legend which entirely unfounded....The entire "pot-metal 'n plastic gun that shoots .22-cal bullets" thing was born from a desire to cut cost, and that is all there is to it. The fact is, it was thought up by the same guy who dreamed up the Ford Falcon while working in the auto industry....an over educated idiot, who knew absolutely nothing about guns or fighting, and the Commander in Chief at the time knew even less.

Same caliber but different pressure which can be an issue.

I think it's the leade that is the problem.
