30 Carbine cast bullets

What cast bullet do you use for 30 Carbine revolver loads? and sized? and source?

I use several. Lyman #311316 is good. Accurate but gas checks are a PITAI aldso haave a 120 gr. SAECO bevel based round nose that is quite accurate. Dunno what the mold number is as it doesn't have one. :( I also have Lyman #3118HP, a plain base hollow point bullet. The last one is difficult to cast good bullets.
Most of the time I load Unique, 5.0 gr. for the lighter bullets and 4.5 for the 120 gr.

Mostly I use the Lyman #311410, this shape & weight pretty much duplicates the RN factory bullet. I size mine .309"-.310" & use 2400 powder, its snappy & a bit loud, but, thats the 30 Carbine in a Blackhawk.

I cast using a Lyman 311359A mold using wheel weights.

You guys that are shooting lead alloy through your Carbines, have you had any build up of lead in the gas system? I've considered using WW's alloy in my Carbine, but have held back fearing problems. I have 311359 gc, as well as two other Lyman molds that would be suitable, that I've used for years in my 03's, a cpl of .30-30's, and a vintage Krag. Thanks Rod
