I have a shooting range at home, about 1 hour ago my neighbor stopped by and asked if him and his friend could come over and shot? I said sure, I saw a ruger handle sticking out of a holster on there golf cart. I asked if I could look and I pulled out a nice 3 screw 357 4 5/8 in. I asked if he wanted to sell it and he said he would trade for a 45 LC I said I had a uberti and went into the house and got it and now I own a 3 screw. it has some scratches on the back bottom of the back strap where he said it was carried in the glove box, other than that it is clean, the way I look at it is I can get a uberti any old time, a nice three screw is getting harder to find. any idea what a nice 3 screw like mine is going for?

Around my area?...probably between $400-$450 (even with the scratches), which is more or less what a clean/cared-for Uberti Cattleman in 45LC will fetch these days.

I looked up the sel. no. and it 1973, it is not a flat top, the cattleman I liked but not completely happy with, it shot left with fixed sights. I like to shoot black powder in my 1873 uberti rifle in 44WCF and I plan on getting a cattleman in the same cal. they work better with BP than the 45LC I just went out and zeroed the 3 screw in with my handloads and it will shoot the center out of the bull's-eye. it is a real shooter like all ruger black hawks I have owned.

As far as current value goes, you're probably about even; as far as future value and your satisfaction, you're way ahead.

My favorite too  ....357 with a 4 5/8 barrel length.....you did good

I agree.
IMO, that particular model is about as close to having a "one gun for everything" as it gets for most folks. Plus, any way you slice it or dice it, a 38/357 is a lot cheaper to shoot than a 45LC.

well I handload and cast also so money isn't much of a factor in ammunition, but I can get another uberti. like I said that one was nice but it shot left and there was little I could do about it with fixed sights, and I can always get another one in 44WCF that is what I really want.

Along with my 4 5/8 Blackhawk .357, I have a New Model Vaquero .357 in 4 5/8, also a Uberti Regulator .357 in 5 1/2" and a Uberti El Patron .45 in 6 1/2".........to me the shorter 4 5/8" barrels are ideal for carry when walking or driving with a crossdraw........hassle/tangle free and very concealable with a shoulder holster.......the other lengths not so much.
