For Christmas, 2003, I got a Ruger MKIIVT in .22-250. Two-stage trigger, heavy, floated barrel. Four-shot, .5" group at 200 yards with 40g BT handloads @ 4100fps. Wouldn't hesitate for a second to get another.
On the other hand, it replaced a Savage 110E .22-250 that would shoot five-shot groups at 100 that you could cover with a dime. Dad gave it to me with untold rounds through it and 2000 fired cases. (He also had a Browing BLR in .,22-250.) I put several thousand more rounds through it before the barrel went. Wouldn't hesitate to get a new Savage, either.
