No roll mark 77/22

How bout this. Picked up a super clean Ruger 77/22 at a very good price. Funny thing about it is that it has no 77/22 roll mark anywhere. Found out there were approx 400 of these let loose of which bout 85 went to Australia. Anyone out there have the same experience ? I'm not a collector but am curious as to if I should shoot it or try to find a collector of such items. 77/22s are a beautiful rifle. Look almost grown-up... HA! Oh yea... the very good price was $150.00 !

Yeah, I would shoot it.
At least two of the very earliest from that batch were also without a pistol grip cap. If yours is without, be sure to let us know.
