I am always on the lookout for left handed rifles, I found a used American 22-250 with a Redfield Revolution 4x12-40 scope on it sitting on the gun shops used rack. Like new and being a caliber I don't have I purchase it. Shot it yesterday and I love it, I shake a whole lot from Lyme disease but I was able to bench rest and get a 2"-3" group until the barrel got to hot. Does anybody else have this rifle and what are your thoughts?

I have not owned a Ruger American (so far...) but hear great reports of excellent accuracy. They seem like a very decent and serviceable rifle at an attractive price point. Not beauty queens, but "pretty is as pretty does" to paraphrase Forrest Gump's mama. My taste runs to a little more classic style - here's my Ruger .22-250:

I have the Ruger American Predator in 204R and absolutely love it. I put it in a Bell & Carlson stock to replace the flimsy factory stock, and changed the tiny bolt handle out for a Glades Armory Tactical handle. Easier to use with thick gloves. This rifle has endured some pretty harsh dead of winter frigid predator hunts. Super accurate with 40gr Sierra BKs. Taken a ton of fox and yotes. It has been part of several hot steamy summer varmint hunts as well. For a "budget" rifle you can't beat these things. They are tough and accurate.
