That's a caliber that hasn't caught-on here in the USA. Personally, if I want bigger than my 9mm, I'm jumping to a .45. Better control/accuracy than a .40, 44 or .357

I heard the 10mm can create new converts. But no gun ranges near me have any to rent.

The only reason I'm holding off on the P220-10 is the price.
I like Sigs, but not at $1,200 to $1,400.
(and the ones at $1,200 are "out of stock" :roll: ).
(DO love my Smith 610 8) )
 
Carried a 10mm as a duty gun for several years......and yes, shooting one will make you into a believer.

I've been called a fool for saying my sr40c's recoil is more unpleasant and harder to manage than a full frame .44 magnum but I maintain that is absolutely true. I shoot the .44 mag (mid range magnum loads) far better and the recoil impulse is far more pleasant to shoot. That's just me.

So I'd be open to trying a 10mm to see if the same was the case, as it stands now I've never fired one, not a single round so I can't say.
 
I have a 1076 S+W that a local guy won on the west coast as a drawing prize. Traded in still new at Dunn's in Marion, Il. Next guy had it laid away for a year and 1/2. They took it out 1 night and said if you still want it , here it is. Tomorrow it goes out front.... It shoots very well. Carries nice as its some what flat on its sides.
 
The modular design of the RAP could / should lead to a 10mm version.
 
--- The 10mm was considered in the all-steel SR1911. Everyone here says it isn't going to happen.

I'm waiting for Kel-Tec to announce their SUB-2000 platform in 10mm (Glokk mags). Cannot think of a better shooter for steep slope hunts on short-range mulies.
