    WTB Bisley Ivory grips

Damn. If'n I owned a Bisley I'd be on that like a hobo on a ham sandwich.

    Blackhawk with 7 calibers & 6 barrels??

Blackhawks are plenty strong. The round would probably just fire-form to 30 caliber upon discharge.

    Does Ruger still make a blackhawk 45LC in stainless, 4 5/8 ?

I have to confess...I'm surprised this isn't a standard Ruger offering? 'Sold my 4 & 5/8 convertible years ago...now I'm thinking this is one that I'll regret selling.

Used Security Sixes - Most I’ve Ever seen, but sad

At least they have them... Security Sixes don't come out of hiding too often in my neck of the woods.

    10 Best Revolvers

I can't believe that the Security Six isn't included...one of the most prolific wheel-guns ever produced. Personally I'd bump the Super Redhawk from the list in favor of the 'Six. Just my $ .02. I've never owned a Redhawk, they certainly have a great reputation and a strong following.

    Got My Factory Letter--PICS ADDED

That's pretty neat, that bit of provenance easily worth the $10.

You're short-changing yourself, those are nice looking stocks. Wish I had a six-gun that they would fit on.

price check on a security six

Yup, $395. is a great price for a stainless example. I lucked into a blued version six months ago for $320. It's a minty 6" one with original grips. Despite the fact that the "six" series guns were made in large numbers, they just don't seem to turn up for sale that much. At least not in my...

New to the forum and have a ? about a Police Service Six

Boy, that's a mean looking snubbie right there.

Nice Ruger on Armslist for sale - Ck it out.

I don't like a lot of bling myself, but wouldn't go so far as to call it ugly. When you consider the elk grips & tooling hours that must have gone into that pistol, the price is actually pretty reasonable if that's your thing.

Is there a way to tell if OM Stags are factory?

 Remind me not to list any counterfeit Ruger goods in the classifieds here!

    Ruger security six

I just bought a gun in the exact configuration you've described, for $320. + tax & fees. Total cost was $344. The gun is in 98% condition. I think I got it cheap, I think it's more like a $375 - $400. gun. As others have said, you need to to volunteer a bit more info to assess a value. I...

    Security Six 6" question

Thanks all, for the detailed info and for the pictures. I'd not really stopped thinking about the 6" blued Security Six that I passed on a week and a half ago. I returned to the shop this afternoon for another look & couldn't put the gun down. I ended up paying $344.50 out the door. The gun...

    Security Six 6" question

Did these come in both a "heavy" contour barrel and a "light" contour version? I came across a 6" blued example yesterday priced at $320. The gun was in excellent condition with what would appear to be the original wood target grips. It was a 154 prefix gun. I think the price is excellent &...

    Blackhawk .30Carbine?

I had one that would consistently hit a 8" paper plate off of a sandbag @ 100 yards from a rest. As someone else mentioned, it is a loud gun. I always wore double hearing protection when firing it. Too bad that .30 carbine ammo costs triple what it did just a few years ago...
