First off I am not an expert on glocks or anything else but I can share some if my opinions and observations with you. I don't have a model 45 but it is basically a 19 with the 17 grip. I like them both but I've never met a glock I didn't like. I like the newer glocks without the finger groves the best. As far as carrying the 19, 45, or 30 concealed, they are all to big for me. I've been carrying concealed in N C since 1995 and am 75 years old. I have 11 glock 9mms, 2 45s, 2 40s, a 380, and a 22. All glocks. As you can see, the 9mm is my favorite caliber. Whether you carry a 45 or 40 or 9mm, I don't think makes much difference as long as you can hit a 6 inch or so target offhand most if the time at 10 yards. My favorites for conceal carry are the 43 on the waist and the 43x in a shoulder holster. I like shoulder holsters and have 9. My 43s hold 7 in the magazine with the plus 1 finger extension. The 43x holds 10. But Shield Arms makes a 15 round flush fitting mag for it. The 43x in a galco miami classic is super comfortable. The gun is thin, the barrel is short which keeps it from bonking the back of the seat when you sit and the grip is long enough to grab quickly. I also have the model 48 which is the 43x with a longer barrel. I would suggest you go in a gun shop or a gun show and pick them up and see how they feel to you. To me, the 43x and 48 have the best feeling grips of all the glocks. Hope this helps.View attachment 10636View attachment 10637I'm about to upgrade my EDC from a Taurus G2 to either a Glock 19 or 45. Do you have a preference between the 19 and the 45? I have a Glock 30 I'm quite fond of but I don't carry it much anymore.
A thread for another day would be a CMP Range Grade but that's a bit outside of the budget at the time.
