My grandpa and I used to watch Star Trek in the afternoons when I was very young (2-5). Those characters (hence the actors who played them) became intertwined with good memories of him, so it hits home when one of them passes. RIP, Nichelle.

Other than Kirk, she may have been the spiciest character of them all.
