I was wondering has anyone taken a brass grip frame off a Wrangler yet and put it on a Single six or will it work? Pictures would be great was just curious if it would work. Thanks

Yeah I thought it was just a brass cerakote was just wondering if anyone had tried it or what it might look like on one. Thanks for all the help

Yep, the g/f on both the Wrangler/Super Wrangler and NM Single Six will interchange. Screws also are same length and thread count, except for if one uses stainless screws that are polished heads and not anodized black. And YES, grips from a SS, NM Blackhawk, Vaquaro will also fit the Wranglers, (IF) they're the RND(whatever the first letters are) Red 3 type.

I used stainless Single Six screws and other SS components on my black Super Wrangler to sexy it up and everything worked great with the swapping.

I wanted to also use a stainless g/f from the SS, but MidwayUSA was sold out, so I'm waiting for the new year to see if it's available again.

Wranglers have Torx screws if that matters.
When I was customizing my SW, I Emailed Ruger to ask about whether Single Six screws would fit the Wrangler models. They came back with "no" that the screws wouldn't. Well, they actually will interchange, except the SS screws are flat blade type while as you said the Wrangler's are Torx. The bottom of the screw heads before being threaded are also same degree angle.

I think why Ruger CS saying that the SS screws wouldn't work is because of the possible depth of how the screws sit down in the hole pockets between a Torx wrench fitment to not strip, compared to the shallow(er) head of a flat blade screw.

Not having a Single Six gun, I can't say for sure how the Wrangler Torx screws will fit on a Wrangler in looks and might sit higher out of the hole pocket, so maybe this is what Ruger CS was going on, but not sure, BUT I damn sure know that the Single Six screws fit the Wrangler.

“quote....."a high grade of potmetal....",,,, now THAT is an 'oxymoron”

I don’t want to hurt nobody’s feelings 😉

I have a couple of Wranglers. The nephews enjoy shooting them. And they’re rust resistant. Not as nice as a Single Six, but considerably better guns than the cheap Heritage single actions, IMO.

yes that they are and reminds us of when the original Single Sixes came out in the mid 1950s ( like 1954) and they were said to be "cheapies" ha, been there, saw that, and still love them today, and what goes around, comes around.....(y)(y)

From steel to brass to aluminum to zinc...I reckon plastic will be next, and we'll still be buying them...sign of the times.
