I just picked up a 7.5" Wrangler today and as far as fit and finish, I am impressed. The grips are a perfect fit to the frame. There is no front to rear cylinder play and no rotational slop in all hammer positions. Cocked, uncocked or fired with trigger held back after the hammer drops. It's tighter than some Freedom arms revolvers I've seen. Hopefully the cylinder is aligned with the barrel as there is no wiggle room when the bullet meets the forcing cone. I did a poor boy trigger job and dropped one leg of the trigger spring and have an average trigger weight of 1 pound 9 ounce. So far, I like it. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet so can't say about accuracy or regulation of sights. I waited for a long time for Ruger to make a Super Wrangler with a 7.5" barrel but this was $159 before all the other BS taxes And background fees. I did not realize that there was a 6.5" Super that was a distributer special or I would have tried to get one of those.

Kudos on getting a nice one.

Myself,, PERSONALLY,, do not ever do a "poor man's trigger job." I have handled several & bought one,, that had that done. A few of them I could feel the unhooked leg rubbing on the mainspring.
The one I purchased,, was a JEWEL!
A guy had a .357 Maximum,, and the leg was causing occasional binding of the action due to it interacting with the mainspring.
I bought the Maxi from the guy at a gun show,, without removing the grips,, and seeing for myself what I suspected was the problem. I paid $275.00 for the Maxi.

It's NOT hard to actually "clean, smooth & polish" internal action parts to give a gun a better action or trigger pull.

I have told some people, that insist on doing one,, to purchase a spare trigger return spring,, then cut off one leg of the spring to prevent binding.

The only Talo Wrangler still listed is the 6.5" super in Midnight blue and Brass. That may be the one you're referencing.
That is the one I saw on Gunbroker. It was over $250 the over the price of my Wrangler after shipping and FFL fees were added in. I wish I would have been in the market while the Single Six Hunter was available. It had a 7.5" barrel.

Hopefully, we'll get a 7.5" Super Wrangler one day...🤞
A Bisley version would quickly put and ear to ear smile on my face! 😊
I read somewhere where the chances of a 7.5" super Wrangler were pretty slim since it would compete to much with the Single Six line of guns. But as they say... never say never.

I only have one 7.5" and I only bought it because it was the one cobalt Talo combo that I didn't have. Barrel really seems long.

I have a place where I can shoot into dirt to 120 yards. The gun shoot dead true for windage at that distance. I couldn't be more pleased. I have seen many reports of shooting left or right at close distances so it hitting dead on where the sights are pointed area major plus!

Nice score on the 7.5" Wrangler for $159 out the door.

Sounds like you got a good one Ruger’s been hitting the fit finish hard on these lately. That light trigger after the poor boy job should make it fun to shoot.
