I've been trying numerous ammo brands from SK,Eley, federal, cci, remington, auguila all 40gr it seems the federal auto match is the winner at 7 yards it just groups one hole, CCI opens the group up considerably and a lot of flyers, remington shotgun patern,Auguila shoots the same as CCI,surprisingly SK and Eley does the same as FED Auto match at twice the price.Auto Match is hard to come buy around me bought a case a few mounths back now its always out of stock.

Smart testing. Federal Auto Match is a legit winner for the price it punches way above its weight for cheap ammo. Sucks it’s hard to find now.

Stick with it when you can and treat SK/Eley as your backup when Auto Match is dry. Don’t waste money on the others if they pattern like crap for you. That’s real world ammo lottery in action. Keep stacking those one hole groups.

It also shoots well in my MKIII and MKIV 22/45's. Got mine off Ammoseek, by the case it was about 6 or 7 cents a round delivered. Do get an odd failure to fire but no worse than any other brand.

Automatch is about an 8 on the 1 to 10 scale of ammo (10 being best) tried in my mark pistols.

Federal Range Pack is my 10 and CCI Blazer is my 1. Winchester and Remington are 2-6 depending on variety. Other types of CCI and Federal have all been 6 or above.

Federal Automatch is my go to for all my 22s. I regularly read guys whomhave to buy premium ammo to get their guns to function. Federal Automatch works in everything from my LCP 22, MKIII, SR22, 10/22, Wrangler, Rossi and Single-Six.

Fed Auto Match is unobtanium around here; even TargetSportsUSA is out of stock for MANY months.
My 10/22 heavy bbl loves it.

The supply issue is real, AutoMatch sells out fast because it's popular for trainers and plinkers. Stock up when you see it, or look for equivalents like Federal Champion in bulk if needed.

So i did find 5 boxes of Auto Match at our tractor supply,$29 better price than at local GS they wanted $32
Are we talking $29 for 50 rounds? You can find RWS R50 for that same price online, if you shop around a little. It usually runs right under $40 for 50 rounds. Of course, you'll have to pay for shipping, too.

And FWIW, RWS R50 is what Federal Auto Match wants to be when it grows up.

The boxes he is talking about are 325 round boxes. You can also find them at ammoseek.com but don't know how expensive the shipping is. The price is a lot less than the $29 JPG115 paid.
