I am contemplating the purchase of a Worksharp. What are everyone's opinions on the basic model vs. the Ken Onion model?

If you have input on the blade grinder attachment for the Ken Onion model, I would love to hear that also.

Thanks in advance,

Yep, I keep the variable speed Ken Onion in the kitchen and the wife say she likes how sharp things are.
If she is happy there is peace on the home front. I'm not sure about my Worksharp 3000 yet but it's growing on me. I have a Tormek T-7 water stone that is the best at getting that fine edge but it's too messy and time consuming for some jobs.

As you delve into your various paraphenalia and set up your gizmos there is a small, sly part of your mind telling you that if do not use a stone you are not a man.
