Winter time makework chore.....

For the last half century of so, I've been very neat with my ammunition. I've always preferred these slip-top plastic cartridge boxes from Flambeau or MTM:



I label each box with load data and the number of times each lot of brass has been loaded:









So, it occurs to me why not keep one caliber in separate colored boxes? So, in the large caliber boxes, .44 Special in gray, .44 Magnum in red, and .45 Colt in yellow. And for the small bore stuff, .357 Magnumin gray, .38 Special in red.

That means relabeling many boxes, but does seem to keep me out of Nita's way.

Much too nice and good work. My reloading bench is in an unheated storage shed so too cold to do anything out there & no room in house for a setup !!

I love those boxes... My dad used those and hence so have I. Never thought about color coding though! Great idea!

Color coding works well Bob. I started doing that backs in the 80's to prevent confusion. And I had some semblance of a memory back then......

I tried color coded boxes for awhile but went to clear or translucent boxes so I can see at a glance what's in them.
