Wow,, you & Jim (and his family) are just fun to follow. I miss my flying,, and y'all allow me to reflect with good thoughts!

Heck, just today,, I was out at a customer's house,, and in the distance,, I heard a familiar sound. A Huey. As I was driving away,, I realized it was very close. I stopped, and opened my door, and in a moment,, he buzzed right over me,, just a bit above NOE!
Made me smile a lot.

Seeing you work on your Cub, just makes me smile as well!

Hey Scott,
Looks like a great project. That hangar/building you are in appears to be full of Super Cubs needing a little work :)
Do you still have the green Cub???
What fabric process do you plan on using on the wings?? We have been happy with both Poly Fiber and Superflite. If I had the wings uncovered, I would look into adding a Stewart wing tip mod especially for the type flying that you do. They made a big difference to the way the Pacer flew and landed. Then add some 27" tires with Acme shocks and you are good to go.
:)

This is the STC that I did to the Pacer.

Is this the Cub you are working on??????

Registration N9697P

Narrative:
The pilot reported that, while landing, when the tailwheel touched down, the airplane began to veer left. The pilot attempted to correct the veer and applied brakes; however, the airplane nosed over and came to rest inverted, which resulted in substantial damage to the left wing strut. The pilot reported that there were no preaccident mechanical failures or malfunctions with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation.

Probable Cause: The pilot's failure to maintain directional control during the landing roll.
