Moved out of central Pa in the last hour . my guess is 16- 18 inches .

Yeah nothing like they called for. All the hoopla for nothing. Weather app said we got 29 inches precipitation all together. I don't know about that....I'd say 20-22ish. Partly cloudy and no snow/sleet in forecast but I bet Liberty Mountain ski resort won't be blowing snow for a couple weeks vs every night. Thankfully my neighbor was able to do a few pushes down my driveway with his plow so Wife and I only need to shovel about 6 inches off of it. Although we will have to dig the vehicles out parked on the front lawn.....I could make the drive to Baltimore tomorrow easily according to neighbors who ventured out this evening....but....meh.....I need to take my time shoveling out lol.

I see your from Pa. as well .I pushed my drive way out 4 times today . I use a 4 wheeler with a four foot plow. When we get these kind of snows I don't wait to plow till its over , to much for the machine to handle . I am gonna measure it tomorrow in the day light . Looking at the radar its out of here . We were predicted to have some sleet , didn't happen . Good you have a caring neighbor . I have a next door guy I take care of , he is in poor health so its a good deed on my part . Stay safe ....

It's been dry here with the lows in the mid to low 20's, And my furnace is on its's last legs. Getting a new one installed on Tuesday.

The weather weenie said we totaled out at 17"- which is interesting because I hit 23" in my yard, and they had 27" at the lake. My snow blower exploded, and I had to shovel 3 times, with one more coming tomorrow. Two 150' driveways plus about 110' of sidewalks. I need a nap.

We got about an inch and a half to two inches of sleet and it is some mean stuff.... hard and slick almost as bad as solid ice. We are hunkered down... but the prediction of a lot of freezing rain after the sleet was wrong... we got about maybe an eight of an inch... they predicted the freezing rain would take down trees and power lines but it looks like it won't ... at least in our neighborhood. I had our generator out and hooked up ready to throw switches and such... did crank it up and run it for about 20 minutes twice but our lights did not even flicker.... now we are stuck waiting on this solid sleet to melt before we can get out... some pickup truck did drive by us twice at 12:18 this morning, I think it might have been a city truck. Must have had four wheel drive and good traction tires, no way I'm even going to try the street with our Ford Explorer...
The one thing that surprises me is usually we have a circus out in front of our house with young and old sledding.... but this did not happen yesterday.... I really think this packed sleet is too slick and dangerous.... Here is a picture of our lower driveway with my work van and the Ford Explorer and the street from yesterday afternoon.... all that white stuff is solid ice about 2"thick.

Yep. Near Liberty Mountain Ski Resort. My ATVs are in storage since I'm having a new garage built and no place to keep them until it's done. We got sleet for the last couple hours of the event. Another cup of coffee and I will go out and start shoveling the final 6 inches or so off the driveway, start the vehicles and clear them off, park them in the driveway and its business as usual aside from the severe cold.

I'm sure your neighbor appreciates your help. I'm not in the best health either (physically) and appreciate my neighbor helping out with things like this. I was pretty embarrassed at first but I'm getting used to it....

The ski traffic is going to be out of control this week......and they are calling for another 3-5 inches this weekend....that's just flurries compared to yesterday

My snowplow man was here at 6am. I'm watching cartoons on MeTV until 8am and then I'm going for breakfast at the local diner. After that I'm going to make a pan of Who Hash and do whatever I want to for the rest of the day.
I'm getting used to this retirement thing!

Wasn't supposed to snow yesterday or today but it did and it will. No way to get the cars unstuck aside from hauling A LOT of water from inside to the street using a bucket.

I was on the Polaris 450 4-wheeler with the snow blade for about an hour. I cleared the road I live on enough for the neighbor on the far side of the hill from me to get home (with assistance from the 4 wheeler). Then I pushed a single lane 1/2 mile through the snow/ice to the maintained State Road so the neighbors can get out. My RING door bell recorded the in and out of the 4-wheeler to be 1 1/4 hours.

Snow ended here Saturday evening with around 5" but hard to tell with all the drifting (Kansas wind) but was -8 this morning.

Going out to snow-blow later ))). Yesterday (at about 3PM) I measured 9" (that's the SNOW) and it was still coming down. I cleared everything, and went in for the duration. It's looking like there may be an additional 3"; I'll make a final report later. The smartest thing I did (in my mid-40's) was to downsize my house and property to 1/4 what I had; AND moved into town with muni water and sewers; and the hospital is 1 1/2miles down the road. Kept the 1976 model snow-blower and got rid of all the toys. I do NOT watch the NEWS or the WEATHER guesses. Life is good (so far).......
Went out this morning (Mon.) late )). Measured another 4" +/- for a grand total of 13-15"....... BORING. Cleared it all and took the rest of the day off; watched two episodes of Tales of Wells Fargo and took a late afternoon nap. Life is good.

Not to worry, I saw on Fox News a reporter talking about "the whopping beat down NYC got with a record 11 inches" He was pointing out the living Heck they were going through with snow about his ankles.

They said somewhere in Pennsylvania had the "most" at "22 inches ALMOST TWO FEET TOTAL".

As I look out the window right now in Indiana at the 27 inches I measured to the bottom of the tracks I made WITH SNOW SHOES ON so it is at least a couple inches MORE than that. Had to clean snow OFF the satellite dish last night, I've never done that before in 26 years I've lived here.

Ended late last night. 10 inches of snow and about 2-3 inches of sleet on top. Freezing rain until 10 pm, full sun out and hovering around 30 degrees

Well, it's now Monday and the snow-popoclypse has passed. Just about 50 miles south of KC, Mo and at my rural home got maybe 4"of snow. No ice. I think the low temps of -10 maybe didn't let it snow so hard as it was only that light misting of snowfall instead of the heavy flakes when it's around the freeze mark of 32 to 34.

I would of liked some of the heavier snowfall as it would of covered the roof and around the foundation of home to insulate it better, as my furnace worked almost constantly to keep things warm at night with the thermostat set at 71. We also have a fireplace w/insert and it was a burden to keep going outside to get firewood all weekend to help keep things warmer in the living room.

We didn't even have a light flicker of knowing the electricity was infected, so we came out of this quite well. Didn't even try to start the vehicles. We just hunkered down and rode it out. I did do a charge up of our portable 2400w electrical power station, just in case.

Dug the Malibu out of the ice. No way the other three are going anywhere for a couple days. Equinox is iced in deeper than this car was but on the sloped driveway blocking the garage door where the AWD Yukon Denali is dry and functional. Sierra next to the Equinox iced in and with a broken shift cable. Broke it this morning trying to get the truck out. You can see my shovel marks where I had to break the ice. Picture is after I drove around the block.

We got 12" between Saturday night and Sunday night. Did not do anything with it until this morning. Had breakfast, got my laundry started, put on my USAF mukluks, neck warmer, ski cap, Heavy Carhartt jacket and gloves and went at it at 0830. Cleaned the downstairs entrance area (12x20) (it has to be done first), 2 car driveway, front porch and stairs, back stairs and deck. Used my shovel for 3/4 of the entrance area and got out the snowblower. Porches and deck with the shovel. Didn't stop other than for short rest breaks and finished up at 1130. Took outer clothes and mukluks off and set them to dry. Went upstairs, had some fruit for lunch and took some preemptive Advil. Into the easy chair at 1230 and napped until 2:00. Then checked/answered my emails and came on to the Forum to see how everyone was coping with the storm aftermath. Probably won't go anywhere until tomorrow when I go pick up the mail.

Got the Equinox out. Front wheels were 10" deep in ice. No school for the kids so we don't need it but I did snap the shift cable on my Sierra so I have two kid car choices for tomorrow. At least now the Denali can get out of the garage if needed. Only one down. I moved the Equinox so the sun wouldn't be blocked from thawing the Sierra. It had a shadow on it and I need it free. The live oak shades enough of the day I needed the rest of the sun on the truck and pavement.

We dodged a bullet in East Texas. Cold, a bit of snow and sleet and wind. Not enough to bring down trees and wires. Drove a sister home this pm after camping out with us for three days. Never lost power which was a main concern. Starting to melt, was in single digits last night. Should be the last

of it on Tuesday. Off my back porch.

I cancelled our dentist appointments for tomorrow and the daughter called her work for tomorrow off. I still haven't started a car or truck to even make an attempt to get to the county road at the end of the driveway. I really think my Dodge 4x4 is the only thing that has a shot at making it.

I did put on the snowmobile suit and snow shoes to make a tour around on all the paths we need to get to wood and out buildings and from one house to the other. The paths are starting to get passable with just boots may be. Daughter already had a little skinny path dug out to her wood pile. All the snow slid off her roof and made about a 4 foot pile along the front porch and the back side of her house. I wanted to see if those ice guards protected the gutter and it seemed to all work just as planned as far as I could tell.

I have no idea where the news gets their measurements- from under trees? The were claiming 11-13 inch totals. Meanwhile I had 23 inches in my yard and my friend at the northwest side of the state got 27 inches. Anyway, my snowblower exposed about 5 minutes in, so I had to hand shovel 2 driveways- 1 is 150 feet and wide, the other about 30 feet- as well as the sidewalks around my house. went out 3 times that day, and once more Monday. My truck has an uncovered 8 foot bed, so that was fun too- especially after the ice formed up top. Lower back a little stiff. ( I put that very subtly.)

Could have been worse. 6" of snow but then topped off by 1" of ice. Snow blower died halfway of clearing the driveway and still won't start. Had my son come out yesterday to help finish up and clear the driveway into the street after the county snow plows came through and blocked them. Another possible one on Sunday.

Could have been worse ... like 4-6" of sleet that turned to clear ice and was then covered by 2" of snow? That's what happened here.

It was 7 degrees this morning and my driveway has 3+ inches of sleet and a little bit of snow. I was told that the main roads are okay but back roads have not been touched. Don’t have to go anywhere so I’m staying home until some of this mess melts. Of course now there is a chance of snow Saturday.

Meanwhile, I mowed the lawn and trimmed a couple of bushes. After that exhausting work I drove over to a new to me gunsmith shop. Gave them a small project as a test.

I did get stuck at an out of order traffic light that was flashing red. I tell you, sometimes life is hard.
