daylight savings time q:

Won't get into a time space, Einstein theory discussion. Time is relevant to us & we invented a way to track it, Sundials, etc.

Use to live in S. Calif. and have to fly into Arizona on business; Calif always went to DST when it occurred and Arizona DID NOT so some of the year Calif and Arizona were on the SAME time and at other times, Calif, was an hour behind . SIGH !!!

If I had my way, we'd stick on permanent Standard time. That way, it would get lighter earlier in the summer (make it easier to get up for work), and darker an hour earlier in the evening (make it easier to get to bed). Winter would stay the same as what it is, which is great!

But... it would seem that makes no one any extra money, so people are only talking about daylight savings time.

Here's the problem... if we adjust to one, day light savings time / 4 hours behind GMT is that not going to cause the same issue with darkness during the other 6 months.... One way or another WE will have to adjust....
My vote, for what it's worth is to just stick with Eastern Standard Time / 5 hours behind GMT year round like it was for a couple hundred years ... of course it was them dern British who figured the whole thing out.
Lived several years in ARIZONA
We never bothered with this NONSENSE.

Since everybody lives their life with an iphone in their hands, and an iphone will automatically adjust it's time as needed, how about we just have a continually adjusted time frame with equal time as far as daylight on each side of midday. Since the adjustment would be only a minute or so per day, who would notice?!?
