Specs indicate it loads Ruger mags, but also states that there must by at least 8mm between the mag lips. I've loaded SR9C mags at the range, and remember that they are rather narrow at the top compared to others so I'm hoping someone has used the UpLula magazine loader for loading SR9C mags with success.

I think they do. If I recall, Iron Mike Golf uses an UpLula on his SR9c mags without a hitch. As for the 8mm minimum mag lip requirement, that would be .314 inches. You should have no problems.

YES!! Uplula loads both the 10 round and the 17 round magazines. I know this for a fact because I have an Uplula and I have an SR9c. It is the best loader I have ever seen. It will even load my LCP.

SR9c mags are the same metal bodies as the SR9's 10 rounders, with the same dimensions as the SR9 17's. The UpLula will load all of the SR9 mags, and most any other semi-auto mag, especially 9mm to .45ACP, I think the .380 mags (other brand pistols) aren't as much a sure thing.

The several thousand rounds loaded between my buddy and myself in various SR9 and SR9c mags would seem to indicate the loader works very well.

HKS makes a plastic one, $10, works like a charm. Have a Baby Uplula (22LR) and I actually like the cheap one better.

I've seen people use them in person... the speed at which they load the mags is absolutely impressive in my book.
Enough so that I purchased one. We will see. I don't have trouble loading my mags, but it might be nice to not have a bunch of lead on my fingers when I'm done, at the very least.

Many of us are over the age of 35...and 45...and 55...and in my case the arthritic hands can still load a magazine, but it's less painful, faster and just plain easier with a mag-assist. I have 3 17-rd ers for my SR9c, and the 10-rd er. I carry with the 10, and can carry 1-2-3 17-rd ers in a mag-pouch. As said previously, when I want to shoot 100-200 rds at the range, it takes half the time to load with the mag-assist. I don't carry loose ammo, so if I need to re-load under emergency situations....If I can't get outa trouble with the loaded magazines I have, so be it.

Thats a little like saying why wear gloves when you pulling weeds, you still have to handle the weeds. In a 17 round mag the last 5 or so are very tight on the 9c, and putting a couple hundred per trip down range you will be glad you brought the uplula...strong fingers or not! :wink:

Either way, I wash my hands before eating). It seems, to me at least, that most of the 'getting my hands dirty' part comes while pushing the round into the mag, which the uplula handles.
