Which riser for Ruger 10/22?

I'm thinking of putting a red dot on a Ruger 10/22, and I was looking at the UTG risers on Amazon, and wasn't sure which height to get, medium or high? I don't want any co-witness with the base sights, so I'm thinking high, but I don't want to go too high.

You don't want or need any "riser" at all for that. In fact, you want to mount it as low as possible.

I'm pretty sure you can get a red dot that will fit the standard Weaver 10/22 base. In fact, most or all of them might fit that base.

That's the way I'd do it, anyway.

I mounted mine right on the scope base. Works like a charm.
