Just checking in. Could be a wet weekend for us in NE FL this weekend but I may try to hit the kayak early tomorrow morning.

Also been hit with 10/22 fever, didn't know one would lead to three. Sunday range time might be in jeopardy but I'm listening to advice from the gang here.
I have one more room remodel I'm prepping for but not missing out on the 'me time' sorely needed against work and home, etc.

Hope ya'll have some fun planned for this weekend!

Raining here tomorrow. Probably the same thing that’s coming towards you. I’ve got some time scheduled for the range. If the weather permits. I have some 45 ACP load. I want to test plus I need to double check the max nine.
Other than that, I plan on being a lazy bum.

No one should own just one 10/22. Like some other gun the Ruger 10/22 is just too much fun to mess with and modify and this is a lot easier when you have several. I really need to go look, I'm not sure how many I have and I bet there are others here with the same 'problem'. That room you are working on can wait... it a'int going anywhere.

Yeah you need a precision 10-22, a Thompson 10-22, a Bullpup 10-22, a M1 Carbine 10-22 etc.

I'm working on the etc! One with SS barrel and laminated stock looks great to me!

I've got two with after market barrels and at least one of them will latterly drive tacks at 50 yards with the right ammo.

That sounds like the Precision 10-22.

Not target, just a SS regular barrel with a nice laminated stock.

Lipsey's Distributor model 1273. I've seen a few online currently, looks like these are not too hard to come buy.

You will love it. I grabbed the standard take down, model 11100. I like the one you are after, looks good with all black. The day I purchased mine, apparently someone had just bought the only 11112 they had in stock and I jumped on the last 11100 they had in stock. I'm really liking mine and the newer take down bags are slick.

I sold off my extra 2 10-22s and I don't think I'll need another. The cure to not buying too many is just buy a bunch of MKII pistols. 3 or 4 fit in the place of one 10-22. And they have just as many accessories. See there? Solved that problem for you!

I just have the one 10/22 with the scope. I never wanted another. Marlin 39’s on the other hand I always want one more. Same with Ruger MKII’s

I'm no help here. I thought 3 was going to do it. Then I ran across the compact 10/22 with Williams Fire Sights. I learned that although it comes with the modular stock section set for a youth length of pull, I could order a standard length of pull module. I did just that and installed it before taking it to the range last Sunday. Its then a real cool model with a 13.75" length of pull and a unique synthetic stock to the model.
I found I love the Fire Sights on it and finally I have a 10/22 that will keep open sights. Very adjustable and very easy to see for this old guy. It will be a staple in the 10/22's I have that see the range regularly.
I also put a Barska Plinker scope on my TD model and sighted that on Sunday. I wasn't looking for a high end scope by any means for my TD model but it seemed finicky to adjust. That was fine, I was having a lot of fun with the Fire Sights on the new compact, benched and standing w/ and wo/ a stabilizing sling I had originally purchased for the TD. Glad I bought the 12 gun security cabinet earlier this year!

I use those brakes to launch dummy grenades with 22 blanks. It's my version of lawn darts.

Well it's a darn good thing you purchased that 12 gun cabinet, you only have 8 more guns to go before you can get full use out of it. I was just telling my Dear Friend Thurgood about my dream 10/22. Stainless steel model, modest but handsomely engraved, trick out trigger, walnut stock with blue steel butt-plate and a good scope. You know something to match my 3 single action gun set. He just looks at me like I crazy or something. I wonder just who could do something like this for me ?
