Looking for the other styles than the "Gripper".

I heard that grips for the GP-100 will fit SRH, is that correct?

Can any Pachmayr grips for other Ruger models like Security or Speed Six be adapted for SRH?

What is the deal about some early factory GP or SRH grips being "Compact?"

How would one know the difference between compact and regular?

Thanks.

Yes, GP100 and Super Redhawk use same grips.

No, Security or Speed Six grips can not be adapted. The GP and SRH grip frames utilize a "post" design.

Compact grips are just that ..... compact, smaller than the regular grips. The compact GP100 grips use the same size panels (inserts) as the SP101.

Go to shopruger.com and you'll see both for sale there.

Excellent! Just what I needed. I had been thinking the Pachmayr "Compac" model which is discontinued but did not realize the factory compacts were available. Thanks.

I did notice the GP100 page offers a basic metal front sight that did not appear on the Redhawk or SRH page. Does the GP100 use a different/smaller front sight that the RH or SRH?

If you can locate an Uncle Mike's (Butler Creek) rubber finger-groove grip, BUY it...I have this grip on my 6" Ruger GP100, and it is THE best grip I've found, as it allows the gun to sit very low in the hand, reducing "muzzle-flip".
