What’s on the grill for Independence Day?

Corn on the cob and Huliahmi cheese, this is a cheese you can actually brown on the griddle. My wife baked her tofu in the oven and so I don't have to do that and I'm going to pass on the meat today... well, except for the baloney, tomato, onion and cheese sammich I just had or the sausage, tomato, cheese sammich I had for breakfast.

T-bone grilled, mushrooms and onions sauted in butter and EVO, potato salad........and a good red wine for the chef.

Neighborhood party: Burgers, dogs, etc. I made pulled bork earlier this week for the event

Well since it is just Wifie and me I plan on doing BLT Brats. I fry the bacon then grill the brats on the high temp side of the grill for a crust then move to the cooler side to finish cooking since they are NOT pre cooked.
You can also cook them in a skillet with your bacon grease.
At first I did them with hot dogs but now use brats or mild Italian Sausage on a Hoagie Roll. I remove some of the roll inside which allows a pocket for for more toppings.
I will also make some German Potato Salad.

Since I will have left over rolls and fixens tomorrow night will be Shrimp Po-Boys with some sausage and shrimp gumbo

Grilled Beaver tail. Hard to catch in southwest Idaho high desert. But worth the effort. ( I am a fibber :ROFLMAO: but the picture is real) The early trappers were tougher than I am.

I am in a band that plays at an RV park every July 4th. It's pot luck day at the place and we eat too! Always a lot of great food!

The best part is that it's only a two hour gig and we get to stop in the middle of our performance to spend a 1/2 hour filling our plates and eating!

So its an easy pay day (other than load in/out).
