I've been mowing all winter, as we never really had a winter. And I will likely be mowing at least until late fall.

And even if the grass isn't growing, I must mow anyway, just to pick up my neighbors leaves. None of my neighbors pick up their leaves. They just let them all blow into my yard until they're finally gone by Spring. :D

I say "I", but since I've been under the weather, I'm paying Jose to mow my yard. And for at least another month. I'm kind've liking it.;)

I’ve probably mowed over a dozen times already……started in mid March……last few weeks been mowing twice a week.

Started mowing the back in March thanks to the little legs on the chiweenie, started the front in April. Thanks to the drought I only need to mow the back every other week, the front every three weeks right now. But it is raining here in NE FL today, so things are going to start picking up?

First time day before yesterday. Light start as the grass is usually much higher and thicker by now, but our weather is still figuring out what season it is and the grass is confused.....

I'm thinking this is a mix of mowing the field, versus mowing the lawn.

Mowed the lawn(s) 5 times now, ours and the two neighbors that asked me to, and they pay for the gas.

It the constant cold left a little early and the cold dips didn't go below freezing. But not as much rain as usual, because this is "If it's not raining, you're mowing season". Normally, your legs get tired treading water and trying to keep the mower from pulling your head under the water.
On the plus side, I got the zoysia cut down to tennis ball fuzz height and have been keeping it there a month waiting for the annual power raking from the middle of May to the middle of June.

I've hired my friend Jon's nephew to do my yard work this year. He does my snowplowing in the winter and is very reliable. He has given it 2 mowings so far and has rolled the lawn.
We aren't fanatics about the yard but I have a neighbor who literally mows 3 to 4 times a week. I am working the midnight shift so of course he starts his mowing as soon as I try to get some sleep. I can pretty well ignore the noise so it isn't too bad.

the rain this spring has halted mowing until this past week. But that gave me a chance to roll and dethatch the lawn. Now it's emerald green . . . .
