My daughter just called, very upset, about having to change our Christmas traditions this year. My granddaughter has just tested positive today for Covid so our planned Christmas Eve dinner with all the family, Christmas Day breakfast with them at their home, and later opening of presents at our home are cancelled. My granddaughter loves the traditions and is really upset. Only half the family will be present for the Christmas Eve meal and the opening of presents and the rest will be rescheduled. Ho! Ho! Ho!

We are missing our family gathering as well.

Here is hoping everyone gets well soon, we're already talking about an early spring fish fry.....

All our kids and grandkids and great grandkids live in different states, we don't do Christmas anymore and we sure do miss them all.
I use to buy me a gun for Christmas but at the HIGH PRICES I aint going to do that anymore.

Us too.... we haven't been to a family function in two years..... even missed a grand-daughter's wedding.....wife is very sad.

It looks like the traditional activities will be done with that half of the family around New Years or later too. The irritating part is that she is fully vaccinated and takes all the precautions when she goes anywhere or when she is at work. I guess it's another one of those breakthrough infections and it's the second Christmas in a row where the family tradition is put on hold. Luckily, we haven't been around them for about a month so we are not too worried about being exposed by them. Rant over and Merry Christmas to you members.
