This conversation reminds me of a golfers' story.
A man joined a country club to play golf. On his first Saturday morning, the head pro matched the new golfing member (the New Guy) with 3 other guys - the Threesome. They played the round and enjoyed each other's company. Afterwards, at the 19th hole, the Threesome invited the New Guy to play with them again. He agreed. Good, they said, we tee off next Saturday at 9 am. The New Guy said, "Great, but I might be 5 minutes late."
Following Saturday morning, New Guy showed up on time. The foursome played, then met again at the 19th hole. Once again, the Threesome invited New Guy to play the following Saturday - 9 am. And New Guy agreed, but warned, "I might be 5 minutes late."
The next Saturday, New Guy showed up on time, the foursome played and convened at the 19th hole. This time, the Threesome invited the New Guy to be a permanent member of the group, and he readily agreed. Then, one of the Threesome (an "Old Guy") said, "Please tell us. The first time to play with you, you shot right-handed. And shot lights out (a 78). The second time, you shot left-handed, and again shot lights out (a 76). And today you shot right-handed again, and shot another 76. What gives?
New Guy replied, "Obviously, I'm ambidextrous."
Then Old Guy asked, "So how do you decide whether to shoot right- or left-handed?' New Guy replied, "When I wake up in the morning, if my wife is sleeping on her right-hand side, I shoot right-handed. And if she's sleeping on her left-hand side I shoot left-handed."
This prompted Old Guy to ask, "So what happens if she's sleeping on her back?"
New Guy replied, "Then I'm 5 minutes late."
No matter what time my bride and I plan to depart our home for an event, she's always 5 minutes late. Unfortunately, I don't golf.
