Remove all of the warning labels and let Darwin take over. Can anyone honestly tell me that we need the warning on steam irons to "not iron clothes while wearing"?
Sadly it's lawyer generated. Someone has done it in the past and sued over the results. I bought a barrel cam last year, on the front of the manual was "not for internal exam/use", or something to that effect. I told my 'smith that was probably put there because some DA had tried it and sued when things went bad! The "hold my beer and watch this" syndrome.

Ya dont mean District Attourney...

Maytag has a washer with a special pet hair filter in it, they call it the Pet Pro. The manual says "Do not put pet in washer." Seriously. I commented on that to my rep and he said that it's in there because when they were first demoing the system to people at Maytag, someone asked if they could put their dog into the washer. I hope that he was pulling my leg.

I once read an article about odd product warnings. The one that stuck with me was from a "Swedish chain saw manual." "Don not attempt to stop chain with hands or genitals."

Remove pizza from box prior to heating.

I wonder if that's there because so many people don't learn the basics of cooking at a young age. About a decade ago, I worked with a young woman (22ish) who had never cooked anything that wasn't coffee or microwavable. She baked a chicken breast one night and the next day at work she was as excited as could be over that feat.

There's a comedienne who has a routing saying (paraphrased for those who look up such nonsense and LOVE to be right) "I bought and electric hair curler and it had a warning in the instructions... "NOT FOR INTERNAL USE" So WHICH OF YOU IDIOTS MADE THAT WARNING NECESSARY???
