Vaquero & "bigboredad"; Dissppointment; Joy

Have Andy visualize(day dream) how he would like to be in the future as he is going to sleep. Another thing to do would be to repeat I wish to be healthy, wealthy, and wise again as he is going to sleep. Other visualizations about a lot of white cells being born and eating up what is making him sick. 5 deep breaths every hour while he is awake will pump the lymph system. Immunity is mediated by white cells, but also by immune globulins that reside in the lymph. Good luck.

Hey Gibson!

Prayers for your son. I do alot with St. Baldrick's, and my little boy had some issues when he has born (not cancer though) that required multiple surgeries at Brenner's.

St. Jude's and Brenner's are top notch.

Tell him there are a lot of folks out here pulling for him!

DW's have a funny latch anyway! No need to mess with them :)

Praying for your son and your family. I couldn't imagine going thru it. Stay strong my friend.

Well, since you like the heavies, here is some 500 inspiration. A 700gr between a loaded 38 and a 300gr 44 boolit

And a loaded 700 next to a 44 Magnum

And, those long barrels sure make a difference in the velocities of these 300+ gr boolits in my 44 and 45

1302 fps, that 'll leave a mark! Good going!

I'm sitting here watching season 3 episodes of Gunsmoke on youtube. It used to kind of get a smile out of me when Dillon would bust a cap on some bad guy and it was like the hammer of Thor, or like a lightening bolt from the blue, struck the guy and he's stone cold dead. But you know what? A .45 Colt is a heckuva round. Even in the old days a ~250 gr. slug cruising at something on the order of 1000 fps muzzle velocity, with a diameter of something over .452" is a serious thing to be hit by. Don't get me wrong, it'd take at least a cylinder full to bring me down but. . . :)

Those old westerns have to be taken as fun and yeah, somewhat hokey but I like 'em.

Funny thing about all these "big bad" loads.... They still are no match for the will to live of a 100# doe in real life :)

Or at least for me cause mine don't drop at the shot like others claim theirs do with everything from the lowly 9 minipeter up.

I saw the pictures in the other thread and man that thing needs some grippas! And a 2dogs front sight!

Lee Martin's revolver is touting both here in the first pictures of the thread

Hey Jay I haveb'tbeen around much I've been having my own pity party about my treatments it make me kind of embarrassed when I read about your son. I know first hand how bad chemo is and your boy must be a tru trooper I hope the weather gets cooler so he can toss some down range with ya I know for me shooting makes a big difference even on the days I feel like a truck hit me.

I kind of figured you'd like those Lee 340's they are dandy shooter for under 20 bucks

I'll take that as:

"Wow Jay, very nice. I'm happy for you, enjoy!"

Hey, it's been "Mag-Ported". ;)

Hey man, you ever run into any red SBH or Vaquero. I got it in my head that they might look good on those two. The Ruger medallion inset in silver on red background; and the SS gun with the same color red grips. They would be lke the white micarta grips on Lee's gun in the link but to fit the SBH and/or the Vaquero.

I have seen some somewhere. Can't remember off the top of my head, but with all the CAS shooting and sites, I am sure someone makes red grips.

There is a wood that is nearly red but I'll have to Google it to see what it was.

Got this right off the bat..... Now finding plain red grips.......

I already bought the shirt! Saw these on evilbay and decided to play with my Uberti

Can't remember how deep I am in them. Probably something like $15 since I sold the unused snake.

blood wood is very close to being the red you want of course that all depends on ma nature but I have seen grips out of it that are very red and I once bought a pen for my wife that was made out of the same stuff but looked completely different. I'm sure some could make you some out of red corian or do some micarta and put globs of red stain in it

Hang tough brother. I'll send up a prayer for ya, but be warned, it's not like Billy Graham or Mother Theresa. . . :)

Just keep rockin' that new-to-you Ruger .480.

I didn't get the DW I told you about, bidding went too high. But I did get the BFR 500 Magnum, of course, it'll be loaded to powder puff standards ;)

Just gotta hope I can scrape up 10 bucks next week to pick it up.

Kids start back to school tomorrow. They dread like a toothache hearing me sing out, "RISE AND SHINE YOU KNUCKLEHEADS".

Haha no Billy wannabes here either and right back at ya. Just let your boy know that the strength he shows has helped at least one other be a wee bit stronger but I still like to whine about it
