TULSA ARMS SHOW

For those who have not had the privledge to go to this show, the Expo center is very large. The interior covers eleven [11] acres and there are tables wall to wall. Here are a few shots from last weekends show. Dr.C











The last image shows one corner of the building on Saturday morning. The building has unique construction in that there are no interior support structures and the 11 acre floor space is entirely open. Donny Findley is in the next to the last photo and I was on the balcony with the camera. Dr.C

What's interesting to me about the Tulsa show...other than its size and the gazillion guns I'd love to have...is that they allow photography in there. Here, for both organizations that put on shows, it's a "No Cameras Allowed" policy.

Back around 1985, I was there one Sunday and swapped around a total of 27 guns in one day, left there with a Manlicher stocked Mark X Mauser in .243, a 4 5/8" Blackhawk in 41 Mag and a backpack full of ammo, reloading supplies and parts for Garands, my model 1897 Winchester, and a M1 Carbine I was restoring. Best thing was, with all my swaps, I ended up spending only $100 cash, mostly for the parts, reloading supplies and ammo I bought.
