I have a Bisley Blackhawk with 7.5" barrel and a big old fashioned Tasco Propoint red dot sight, in .45 Colt -- a big handgun, but fairly shrimpy next to yours.

Practically speaking, these guns really aren't offhand shooting guns -- although I practice offhand with mine, I keep ranges realistic (sub- 25 yards), and would never take a shot in the field even at those ranges unless, from some circumstance, I couldn't grab a rest. I practice sitting using knees or shooting stick as a rest, propping against trees and saplings, resting across a branch or fencepost, etc., etc. If I'm shooting from the bench for load development, I use a sandbag rest along with nice soft pads for my body elbows.

With a decent rest the accuracy these revolvers can provide is sometimes mind-boggling.

I used a rest for quite a while. I just got the itch to try and stand up and shoot DOUBLE action.

Be advised that a 5 1/2” Super Blackhawk has a smaller grip frame which can be brutal on recoil unless you want to download. The 7 1/2” and 10.5” models will have a larger grip frame.

i'm going to try one out maybe tomorrow.
I've been using some cowboy loads, but basically I'm thinking about investment.
If I buy another gun, it's probably gonna sit in a box. I was thinking about doing that with the anaconda, but I couldn't resist shooting it.

Sounds like a bench rest shooter to me. If you really like the gun and shooting it, don't sell it. Shoot it off a rest. Get you a shorter barrel gun to shoot standing. I have several rifles I love to shoot, but most are 16-19 pound bench guns. I would never consider trying to shoot one off hand. A friend sold a Ruger Mark iv with a 9" barrel, said it was no fun to shoot trying to hold that much steel steady. And he rarely sells a gun!

I bought the 9.5 SRH in January of 2024.
shot it off a rest until this year.
Wanted to try double action standing.
The SRH is challenging, at least for me.
Just bought a 4" Anaconda.
The 4" is definitely easier to shoot standing up.
