Three screw single 6............

I picked a 3 screw single six with 5 digit serial number the other day at an estate sale. Only problem is, the ejector rod housing, rod, spring and screw are all missing. My question is, which Ruger's parts will fit? Any single 6? How about Blackhawks or Vaqueros? Much obliged for any help ya'll can give me.

Your Ruger Single Six depending if it is 10000 or 99999 should have a blued steel ejector rod housing. Providing serial number minus the last digit always helps and surrenders nothing.

As Satcom said. We need the serial number as a 5 digit gun could have a long throw, short throw, or a straight slot ejector rod housing. It could have a small serrated, or a dimpled large or just a large ejector rod button. As for the rod itself it should be round. So give us a serial number with the last digit an X and we can tell you what parts that you need to be period correct.

It looks as if you need the long throw ejector rod housing with the concaved (dimpled) ejector rod button.

Welcome to this forum conslade!

In very good condition to like new in the box and with original box, you could have a very collectible gun. And the correct variation of the steel parts as Street has described them, is important to maintain the originality and collectibility.

The spring from any Ruger new or old model for the standard 4" ejector rod housing will work. And of the blued most common attachment screw with 8x36 thread from any new or old model 'non-studded' barrel is correct, (earlier large caliber barrels had studs and different screw thread, 6x40).

I would post a 'Want -to-Buy ad as Danjet500 wrote above for any of these parts.

However finding the correct parts Street listed may take awhile and you may want to get this gun in shootable condition ASAP. Therefore any standard aluminum alloy (cheaper) ejector rod housing or straight slot steel ERH and rod will work while you search for correct parts.

The old gun has been rode hard and put up wet a bunch of times, looks like to me. She'll just be a nice little shooter for me and the grandkids. I just want to get her in shootable condition. Even tho, she does wear a set of nice early plastic grips that might wind up on another six shooter.
