I am seriously considering putting a set of these sights on my 10/22. Anybody used these and if so which set is best? the 100 or 200 series. They look well made.I am leaning toward the 100 series with the flipable apatures.

I have hundreds of dollars into my 10/22 in accessories, and this was the single best investment I made.

I went with the 100 series sights and I'm pretty pleased with them. I don't change windage or elevation that much, and they're pretty simple and rugged.

One thing I did do was replace the A1 aperture with an A2 style. The stock aperture has 2 holes that are the same size, and the A2 gives me a bigger aperture for hunting in low light conditions as well as a smaller aperture for precision shooting.

While I had the adjustment drum off I went ahead and replaced it with a knob.

The one I have has a much smaller aperture than the one pictured above.... I like them and would buy more... the one problem I've had with them is the metal is shiny on mine and there is a glare if out in the sunlight.

True shot techbology makes a nice sight too... I have the see thru model but i wud prefer their regulqr aight to tech due to apperance of being level to the gun with no gap in the rear.

weconway, where did you get the knob. I ordered the 100 series last night and the knob would be a nice addition for ease of adjustment.

Both parts are DPMS AR-15 components sourced from MidwayUSA.

The new knob is this part:

You'll need a 1/16" punch and maybe a set of gunsmithing screwdrivers to do the job. I have the screwdriver tips, and I think they make all firearms work easier and preserve the appearance of the guns I work on.

I just shot an appleseed this weekend with my 10/22 with Tech Sights and they were great. I would not have attempted it with the factory sights. The 100 should be sufficient, how often do you need to make elevation adjustments with a 22 anyway?

:D Got my Tech-Sights today and installed them tonight. Can't wait to get to the range and the appleseed deal looks like a lot of fun!...More later

Everyone who owns a 10/22 (heck, a rifle!) owes it to themselves to attend an Appleseed. I stopped wondering about my stock barrel's accuracy once I learned to shoot it.

I hear you blume...a big gut makes the sitting position much more difficult!

I have tried to find small competitions in the area but i can find none... have found a few archery comps but not any firearms comps that are open to public... the gun clubs hold theirs.

where is a good place to start looking? dont really know anybody close to me that is into shooting or with knowledge of such comps.

How'd you like the Appleseed Captains1911?

I've done it twice... a lot harder than I thought both times.... too old and fat to squat and lay comfortably for it.

I had a great time, discovered I have a few things to work on, and learned more than I could have imagined. I'm already planning my next one. I recommend it to anybody with interest in rifle shooting.

Hi guys. I saw this post and had to register, though I have the NDS Sights I use to have the Tech-Sights, either case I had a question about this post. How does the stock style M-16 knob allow you to move past the detents? Can you tell when you've hit a detent or does it just move freely now? How does it stay on? Just screw on like the TS systems little disc? I really like the idea of being able to adjust my sights without getting out a tool every time!
