Super Single Six construction

I'm thinking of ordering a new, blue, Super Single Six. Is this gun on the same cylinder frame as the New Vaquero? Also, is the grip frame and ejector rod housing aluminum or steel? Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

The Single Six is on the small frame as it's always been. The New Vaquero is on the medium frame.

on the blued models, the ERH and grip frame are aluminum.

on the stainless models, the ERH and grip frame are stainless steel.

I have two of the New Model .22 LR Single-Sixes.

My biggest problem with this pair is deciding which gun
is the "tack driver!"

Flatgate, that's a dandy pair of pistols. I've got a stainless 5.5" with adjustable sights, and am looking to get a blue one with fixed sights. I was hoping that the blue guns would be all steel. May have to order some parts from Ruger, and make myself a "Pinto". 8)

Tom,
Ruger sells blue steel ejector rod housings and the steel grip frame from a real Vaquero will bolt right on.
Presto .... an all steel Super Single-Six.

I like Fixed Sight, Steel ERH, "Pinto" guns.

I like adjustable sight convertables too.

You're killin' me, G2. Those are great looking 3-screw guns. Even cooler is that they've been well used. Beautiful!

J Miller - Does the steel ERH from the (old) Vaquero fit the Six, or did they make a steel blue Six at one time?
