Quoting myself but wondering if I should try and log in there after two years of non-use and their abuse of the English language ... lack of ability to read context and syntax, and heavy handed moderation without consideration.
Probably not. They're likely all giddy about Ruger Marlins and silly blue stocked stainless short tube big levered "last call fish" with mounted rails.

Just an update to my ongoing saga... seems I poked the bear again but all the moderator did was remove all my post from that thread.....
What did I do? I slightly criticized Glocks... (this is not on a Glock Forum)... I said they were a real pain to field strip (remove the slide) and then you had 32 places to oil and absolutely do not oil the firing pin.... seems I was wrong about the 32 places... I think. But not the other two items that's for sure. But I also said they aren't nearly half as ugly once you own one... I actually own 3.

That sounds a lot like Marlinowners. Years ago I ws banned for not following the party line and insisting that the .444 marlin wasn't the end all be all of levergun cartridges. Well, I did take a "few" other positions that were diametrically opposed to the net nazi that ran the place. Apparently he doesn't stand for anyone not agreeing with him. Abut that time a whole bunch of us were banned. I figured I was in good company.

I was banned on Greybreard Outdoors for having a rifle scope for sale at the same time the owner of that site did also. On some sites it doesn't take much.
I was invited to and still occasionally visit an invitation only builders site of Weaponsguild exiles.

I was banned back in 2016 from S&W forum for criticizing Hilary Clinton. I didn't think it was political criticism, I only said that I wonder when we might see a real photo of her flying home on her broom. Facebook has suspended me several times, but I keep going there in most part to irritate my Leftist relatives.
I've never been banned. I have had posts removed on an Illinois political website for making logical arguments against gun control and for pointing out that about 97 of Illinois 102 counties vote Republican in bright blue Illinois.
The proper degree of moderation is probably a tough balance. I like this forum and single action forums the best. There are some others where the juvenile comments really detract from the experience. On those forums, I've sometimes pulled up threads only to see most of the comments were posted by people on my ignore list.

I suspect I got about as close to the edge as possible without going over on that political site. Took a while; but I eventually accepted that they were not open to facts or logic and I was just wasting my time. Haven't been back to it since.

I don't think you'd like that. Been there, done that. I was a moderator on such a forum and it was a disaster. Besides the constant tantrums and racism, people were getting banned every day. I resigned and the site owner died a few months later.

Years back a bunch of us were banned for disagreeing with the owner of marlin owners. One fellow started a website for us “outlaws”. Great site but I discovered that one person can be the glue that keeps it all together.
In his mind he's an eagle. To lot of people he's more along the lines of a turkey vulture.

Maybe it is just me but there is a big difference between a Glock and a Sig at least the ones I own... 3 Glocks and ... Sig pistols? well I looked in my data base and I think I'll keep the number of Sigs to myself.... it is more than 3 and I also own more than 3 Ruger P series pistols.... and they are also much easier to break down. I'm told you can fully disassemble a Glock with just a hair pin or such and they are always discussing replacing springs in them....
but my only point was I think it is ironic that you can rant about any of the pistols the forum is named for but start to say something negative about a Glock and the owner gets his panties in a wad.
