Hey Guys,
I know in the past there have been many great stories about the kindness of the RF members. Well let me told you another one. :)

Some of you might have read Kevin's post about his $12 airplane clock thrift store find. I jokingly posted that I would give him a chance to double his money by taking it off his hands.
The next day I received a PM from Kevin wanting to know where to ship it free of charge along with free shipping. HOW GREAT is that?????? He also took the time to put a new battery in it.
Son and I have been collecting WWII, Airplane and Military Memorabilia over the years, and this will fit right in with our stuff.

I only have one piece of airplane memorabilia. It's a roughly 8" to 10" hunk of F-4 Phantom II left main gear tire. We pulled it out of the crew chief's seat of an O-11B crash truck. Fortunately the crew chief and nozzleman were outside the cab when the tire blew.

Haven't seen it in a bit, but it's likely somewhere in my "garage ". Gonna have to keep an eye out for it.

I do happen to have a photo of the offending Phantom.

Jim, I'm just glad it found a good home. When I saw it at the thrift store, I immediately thought of you, just because I don't know many pilots. I'll come across another one for myself someday. :)

Not surprised at all.... that is one of the reasons I stick with this forum and have dropped all the others..... nothing but a bunch of nice guys and even a few gals.... no matter what those others out there say.....

Fully concur on the kind words about @Kevin ....I was also a recipient of his generosity. Or I should say my Son was.

There have been others as [email protected] has sent a few goodies to me and my Son.....same for @Chief.

Have also had some great dealings in the classifieds. The sellers were very cool.
