can anybody give advice on how much to adjust the rear sight? Fired my SR9C for the first time today. Consistently hitting 4" lower than target center, shooting from about 8 yards out.
Pretty much trial and error. A 4" deviation at 8 yards is quite a bit off. As a first guess, try turning the elevation screw counterclockwise two full turns and keep track of the slot orientation so you know exactly how far you turned it. Shoot the gun again and see where it hits. Refine the elevation setting based on that. It shouldn't take long or very many adjustments to get it zeroed properly.shawndaniels said:Instructions call for turning counter-clockwise to raise point of impact but is there no ballpark guestimate to go by based on distance from target & number of inches off of center? Or is it going to be completely trial & error to get it right?
