Congrats on the loaded model, better than the ro IMO.. I have a TRP that will never be sold.. Slide to frame fit is almost seamless, they feel like they are riding on bearings.

I like the Range Officer better simply because it supposedly has almost all of the accuracy, fitting, and mechanical upgrades of the TRP's, yet virtually NONE of the cosmetic "upgrades" that I don't want ... need .... or like .... :D

Nice grips on that piece Dirknar .... VZ's right ?

Hey Chief !!

Ya gotta throw a mag well on that loaded ... it looks nekkid without it !!! :D

Don't ya just LOVE those double diamond, crossed cannon, laser engraved grips on the Springers ? I think they're stunning.

See pic above.

Nice grips on that piece Dirknar .... VZ's right ? I bet you put those grips on BEFORE you installed the magwell didn't you ? Otherwise you could have gotten the flat bottomed grips without the cutout for the pin. I did the same thing ... I love the Springfield crossed cannon grips so much that I didn't care about not having the flat bottomed grips to fill in the area between the grip and the magwell where the pin is.

Heck yeah I do.
I had called Springfield Armory and inquired about a Match Barrel and Bushing, they told me to shoot it first then get back to them. That call back will not be necessary, I'm really loving this 1911  , so much so, I traded in my P90 for the MKIII Target, that thing is accurate too  .........................

Ya VZ's.. I bought the pistol used and the guy gave them to me, the trp comes with the magwell already installed. I scalloped the facing panel with a dremal, ugly but functional. Also has a 10-8 rear sight. Not sure why i bought the holster pictured,i never carry this one concealed.. Ever, haha i have a jframe or g26 for that.. I did form up a kydex holster that i carry when hiking and looking for varmints to shoot.

While it's not a 1911 SA, I have put several thousand rounds through my XDM 45-4.5" without a single misfire. I clean it after every use and it just keeps going. Love 13 round mags!
I have an SR1911 and love it for feel, but it don't see any improvement in accuracy over the SA. The balance, trigger pull and look of the SR1911 is fantastic. Have about a thousand rounds through the SR without issue. Again, I clean them every use and use only 230 grain FMJ UltraMax ammo in both 45ACP I currently own.

I have the Range Officer and love it. No issues at 500 rounds. Best shootin' 1911 I've shot. Yes, it has the adjustable target sight - watch out though, the corners of the rear sight are sharp and concealed carry is not its forte.
