SP101 barrel conversion

Interested in the 9mm SP101 but with a twist. Would like to replace the 2.2 inch barrel with a 4.2 inch barrel for range work. Has anyone tried this?
Alternate idea would be a SP101 in 357 but swap out cylinder to accommodate 9mm.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks

Considering the prices of 'custom work' you might be better off just buying a different gun?

A barrel swap would likely be the easiest if you can find a barrel. But as Mobuck said, labor could get pricey.

TK Custom offers a 9mm rechambering service, probably cheaper than a barrel swap unless you're doing the work yourself.

I would think a 9mm cylinder swap would work, but I won't be able to check any measurements until tonight.

Finally got around to checking this and realized my 9mm SP is an early short cylinder model. Maybe someone with a current production 9mm could tell you the cylinder length. The two cylinders were the same diameter and the 9mm cylinder length was the same as the other short cylinder SP I have.
