Yeah, at 72 those trips around the sun have taken their toll. I hate to admit it but it would take two or three of me to do an honest man's work these days. Some days my walk is more of a hobble, I can remember most things... eventually. I have diabetes, gout and arthritis along with kidney disease but am still able to swing a let over my bike, do a decent job in Bullseye and able to teach my grandson to shoot. Life is still pretty good.
As for respecting young folks as Jimbo suggests, I do. Those who deserve respect. And there are many both respectable, admirable and the other side of the coin as well, despicable, ignorant goons. Just like there always has been.
