I’m 80 my next birthday but I only feel 79. Does that qualify to wax eloquent on this subject ? I think so. I only have one 1911, a 10mm, but I have less trouble loading the mag than I do getting the last few in my 9mm Shield Plus. Yeah, I have an Uplula but it’s not always in a convenient location when I want to top off.
I definitely have lost some of my “magic”, mostly because of my eyesight, not because I can’t physically do what needs to be done. I don’t shoot as much as I should either, so that’s some of it. I guess when I can no longer handle a cartridge I’ll have to quit. Until then…
BTW, I wanted one of those Webleys (back in the day) so badly. I begged my daddy for one but it was a no-go. I still don’t know why he wouldn’t get one for me. I was nine years old !
