Once upon a time, I bought a 12"x10"x4" block of very fancy Claro Walnut @ a woodworker's hobby store for $20, and have been slicing into it for handgun grips ever since.

IME, with using fancy grained wood for handgun grips, is that they will tend to split :shock: after the grip(s) are shaped/finished, unless one takes care to seal/finish them inside & out. (BT, DT - NTS)

I would be 'pleased as punch' to receive even a small package with walnut in it like that. I can take my afternoon nap, today, with dreams of Blackhawk grips in my head.

He didn't show all of the wood he got. There are some other pieces,,, that upon transit,, they will become transformers. It'd take a time machine to see the finished transformation. Stay tuned,,,,,,,!
