I have a new model Single Six with notched rear and blade front sight, blued, with a color case hardened frame, serial # 268-23XXX. I can't seem to find any info on this model. Any ideas? Thanks.

From the Reference of Ruger Firearms:
BNV-224SI and BNV-225SI. Special distributor models. Known s/n ranges 268-22681 to 268-24676 (BNV-224SI) and 268-22484 to 268-22684 (BNV-225SI). A total of 626 BNV-224SI and 599 BNV-225SI shipped from 2001 to 2003 to AcuSport (MI) and Williams Shooter Supply (IL). Williams received 76 BNV-224SI and 19 BNV-225SI of the total in 2003.
There was also an additional cleanup run just a few years ago that are high sn guns in the 268-5xxxx range, of I would guess probably less than 100 of each model.

Thanks Chet! Any idea of a fair value? I would like to put it up for sale here on ruger forum for the members.

Well, they were expensive when they came out! They're worth $550 or better and I think that's what a lot of guys paid for them, but you will probably find it tough getting that out of one.
The steel grip frame, simulated ivory panels and case color finish put that one over the top of most $ conscience buyers. That's why it wasn't a real good seller when they were around.
You'll need to find the right person who is looking for one.

It has a steel frame and ER housing, 4 5/8" barrel. it is in the classifieds.
