SBH hammer on 3-screw BH?

I've got a 1969 3-screw Blackhawk in .41 Magnum caliber and wish to replace the original hammer with the wide-spur Super Blackhawk version. What and where do I look for one? Can anyone supply a part number? My thumb thanks you.

It's just a OM Super Blackhawk Hammer, No place to just "buy/order them". The Hammer alone sells for $125-175 and can sometimes be hard to find. You can also look for OM Parts Bag from a Factory Conversion. These run from $150-200. You will want to confirm that the knotches are in good shape.

If desperate, one can do some Frankenstein surgery and cut off the top of the 3 screw's hammer and cut the top off of a New Model Super Blackhawk hammer and then weld the New Model Super's hammer's upper portion to the lower portion of the 3 screw's hammer.

Been there, done that more than once.

That's going to be a very tough/expensive find as indicated by other above. I saw an internal parts kit from an OM SBH with wide hammer just sell in this forums classidied section for $163 on 10/1/12. That's the best place to look and you can post a want ad.
There's one other inexpensive possibility; get a Ruger NM SBH from Brownell's for about $35 in blue, #780-012-040AD. Clements Custom Guns also sells them for $35 and may modify it for you: http://www.clementscustomguns.com/sahandgunpackages.html

How to modify NM SBH for OM guns:
Ream the large pivot pin hole in the hammer slightly larger for the OM hammer screw and file off the overhang at the top of the NM hammer. (Now you can use the NM hammer but it has no 1/2 cock notch for loading/unloading. You'd have to hold the hammer at the 1/2 cock position with your thumb; NOT SAFE if your thumb slips off!)

So hacksaw (high speed blade!) the section with the three notches off of your old hammer and silver solder the piece, or have it soldered by a smith, onto the new hammer in place of its one notch. It will work perfectly. Just did mine.
