So I had problems with a recently acquired blackhawk (1977):

So sent it back to ruger and they told me they would take care of it. A week or two later I received a call from Ruger explaining that part of my problem was the barrel to cylinder gap & that they would have to replace my barrel. Now I had 6.5" but really always wanted the 4-5/8, so I asked them if they could substitute the shorter barrel. They told me "no problem"!!!
So I just got her back and the work order reads:
Barrel - Replaced
Base Pin - Replaced
Pivot Pins - Replaced
Gate Spring - Replaced
Timing - Repared
Trigger Pull - Repaired
On top of that.....(being stainless) They buffed out 30+ years of dings and scratchs!!! I have a beautiful brand new 4-5/8 blackhawk!! Couldn't be more pleased.
RUGER ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
