A few months ago I found and bought a nice little Ruger Mk. II standard type .22 LR pistol. It has the 4.5 inch tapered barrel. If I remember correctly, Ruger once offered a leather flap top holster for this pistol. Does anyone have a line on where one of these holsters or a reasonable facsimile of one might be found. Sincerely. bruce

Welcome to the Forum!
I don't recall Ruger ever offering a flap holster for any of the semi-autos,, just the SA revolvers.

Thank you for the information. I am sure you are correct. I remembered a Ruger flap holster with some sort of brass turn clasp whatever type closure. I had thought it would be nice for carrying my Mk. II in the woods. I will go another route. Thank you again. Sincerely. bruce.

There probably is one out there that would work, especially since yours has a 4.5" barrel. The problem is trying to find it with out buying a bunch that don't work....

I think I passed a flap type holster on a while back that might work on a shorter barrel ruger like this.... I may still have one and will check to see.... problem is my MKIII is longer.

Year ago I bought a nice Tom Threeperson's holster for my beloved S&W 6" M-28. I ordered that holster before I had a computer. Thank you for the link! They have several holsters that would be ideal. Thanks sincerely. bruce.

I bought a Swedish Lahti holster from Sarco or one of the other milsurp outfits in Shotgun News. Fits my MkII like it was made for it.

Look for a holster from Brauer Bros.
I recently let one go w/ a little Mark ll in a trade.
Good luck

:D I have the same gun as you , mine is stainless. I bought a nylon holster from Cabela's. It has a thumb snap to keep the gun in place and a pouch in the front edge that holds a spare mag. Great woods or range holster and you can store the gun in it unlike a leather holster. Plus it was very reasonably priced. Unless your heart :D is set on leather it is definitely something to consider.

I use an Uncle Mikes #7. It's made for small frame single action revolvers but fits the 4 5/8" barrel Mk II and 22/45 just fine.

That said, if you find a flap holster made for the Single Six, it may well fit your pistol.

i use a WWII 1911 that took a small amount of fitting with very good results
