I purchased this Mark 11 new in 2003. I don't shoot it much but when I do makes me look like a better marksman. I changed the front sight to one with interchangeable color inserts

Being a smart ass, I'll ask, "What happened to the Mks 5 through 10?"
Nice gun, I have three Mk IIs and used one for years for bullseye competition for years. They will eat just about any ammo, very tolerant of not being cleaned, and way more accurate than most people can appreciate.

MANY THANKS for the headsup about the hammer strut support.... I just ordered one for my wife's MKII Slabside.I found a very nice used MKII Target thin barrel at one of the LGS a few months ago for $225 OTD. With box and 3 mags. Found a couple more used factory mags for $20 each. Changed to a set of Pachmyer G10 grips. Installed a Hammer Strut Support (buy now he’s having a retirement sale). Boy it’s a shooter.

Only for those that don't read the instructions.Always wanted a Mark I but heard they were notoriously hard to put back together. Then along came the Mark II. As they say "the rest is history. Love my Mark II
Are those about the same as the Ruger mags, except for the floor plates having Ruger on them?I figure the mag bodies may be made by MecGar for Ruger, just guessingSpeaking of MK II mags, flyer today from Midway has MecGar brand MK II mags for $13.50 each.
