What sets the "slabside" apart? What's the current going price?
Did Ruger upgrade the trigger? Each side of the bull barrel has been shaved or “slabbed”. The slabbed sides are listed as Target Competition (or just Competition) model.
As for price it all depends on condition and what one is willing to pay. For the Mark II, I’d say anywhere from 350 to 600ish I have seen NIB complete go higher for someone that really wants one and can’t wait. Theres a nice used one on gb that’s listed at 499 bin.
There really isn't anything about the inherent accuracy of the slabside that set it apart. The real reason the mk2 slabside developed a reputation for superior accuracy was it was the first production mark pistol to be factory drilled and tapped. It shipped with a base and rings to add a scope without any needed modifications. What sets the "slabside" apart? What's the current going price?
