Ruger M 1911, .45 ACP Vs. 9mm

I'm considering a 9mm M. 1911 as I already have a .45 ACP. Just wondering whether or not Ruger scaled down the overall dimensions of the 9mm version to match the smaller cartridge?

Just picked up the river LW 9mm. It's the exact size as a standard 45 commander except for the hole in the barrel.

A bit less recoil and all Ruger!

Plus the 9mm has a ramped barrel and the .45 does not, although the .45 LW has the Titanium insert in the ramp area of the frame.
